Alexander Technique is a learning method that will teach you to achieve better balance while you are sitting, standing or moving. A wonderful feeling of lightness and relaxation results from an Alexander Technique lesson. Many students describe the experience as feeling as if the weight of the world was lifted from their shoulders. What these students are actually experiencing is not magic but the difference between a body that has been distorted and compressed by tension and a body that has been restored to its natural balance.

Holly Sweeney-Hillman earned her teaching certification in the Alexander Technique from the F.M. Alexander Foundation of Philadelphia in 1991. She holds a BA in Dance and served as Dance Director at the Foxcroft School in Middleburg, Virginia. She earned a Master’s Degree in Ergonomics and Orthopedic Biomechanics from New York University in 1997. She has taught Alexander Technique in New York City and New Jersey as well as at educational venues including The Foxcroft School, Omega Institute and NYU School of Continuing Education and in corporate settings including Exxon, the Economist, and Bloomberg Media.
